Why I am replacing the frozen résumé with a living record of work, experiments, and questions that are still changing.
A thought, held still long enough to examine.For years, this site behaved like a business card I was afraid to smudge: a name, a title, and a few links to work that looked finished enough to show. It was accurate for a moment and quietly obsolete soon after.
I kept waiting for projects and thoughts to become complete before they could belong here. That made every update feel like a redesign, and it left out the part of building I actually care about—the questions, trade-offs, wrong turns, and small discoveries that change how I think.
The path is part of the work
I do not experience my work as a tidy row of final products. Microsoft changed the scale at which I saw a feature. Early-stage product work made architecture, data, privacy, AI, and the interface feel like one responsibility. Projects for friends reminded me that a small audience can still have a real need.
If this site records only the output, it misses the through line. I have always wanted to open things up, understand what makes them work, and put them back together in a form that is more useful to someone else.

Why the walks belong here
Some thoughts need movement before they need structure. On a walk, I can follow an idea past the polished answer, notice where I am uncertain, and ask a better second question. I can return later and edit the conversation without pretending the hesitation was never there.
The subjects will move between systems, product work, AI, confidence, games, books, and whatever else refuses to leave my head. I expect some positions to age badly. Keeping the change visible is part of the point.
A useful kind of unfinished
Unfinished does not mean careless. I still want each note to be honest, readable, and worth another person's time. It means I would rather share a useful map of where I am than wait until I can claim to have reached the destination.
So this site can stay in motion. Projects can arrive before they become companies. Lessons can be specific without becoming commandments. A thought can end with a question. That feels much closer to how I actually build and learn.
